![]() Forspoken is available now on PC and PS5. Redfall is out now on PC and Xbox Series X. Redfall has already dropped out of the top 50 most-played games on Xbox despite being a month old, but more players may decide to give it a try when the 60 FPS update launches. It'll be interesting to see how Redfall’s numbers on Steam compare to Microsoft’s own launcher, although its performance on Xbox consoles doesn’t appear to be that great. Furthermore, Redfall is one of the lowest-rated games on Steam, with titles like Resident Evil Resistance and Wolfenstein: Youngblood also present in this list. Like the Metacritic score, Forspoken wins out in the user score on Steam, as it has a rating of Mixed as opposed to Mostly Negative for Redfall. Overall, both Forspoken and Redfall have an extremely low number of concurrent players on Steam, with the former winning out by a handful of users. Gamers that bought the deluxe edition of Forspoken can play In Tanta We Trust for free, with this version of the game also giving them access to a mini artbook and mini soundtrack. So, the total number of users playing Redfall could be higher than Forspoken across all available PC storefronts.Īdditionally, Square Enix released a new DLC for Forspoken titled In Tanta We Trust, which may have resulted in a renewed interest in the title. There might be a big reason for these numbers being in Forspoken’s favor, as Redfall is also available on Xbox Game Pass at no extra cost. Both numbers are not great, but some fans probably expected Redfall to have more players given that it’s a recent release and a co-op-focused game. The sandbox fusion for the single-player was far better implemented than what I could think of, although it loses the wild variety of scenarios and biomes classic Halo campaigns are known for.More gamers are playing Forspoken on Steam right now than Redfall. I mean, for a fun free-to-play multiplayer and an alright campaign available on Game Pass, why not? Infinite's gun play is fantastic and the main reason it will make you come back every time. But the live-service model Infinite is going for has struggled to provide decent incentives for players to return. The gunplay is incredibly satisfying, and it feels like a return to form for Halo that Guardians completely missed. The multiplayer is worth it for the first few months you play. And with the addition of online co-op, exploring Zeta Halo has never been more fun. Both Couch and Online VS Multiplayer are unavailable in Forspoken. But for casual players or those whose favorite part has always been the story, it's worth a try. Forspoken does not offer both Couch Split-screen and Online Co-op Multiplayer. Sticklers for the classic Halo gameplay may want to skip this one. But it's still very much a Halo game, and one spot where this shines is with the overall narrative and cinematics. Infinite is by no means the best Halo, and its stray from the more linear level design is something I hope they don't maintain in future titles. Good For Lore Fans And Casual Gamers - Branden Lizardi
